As a psychiatrist Medical Director, you’ll split your time between clinical and leadership duties, working a flexible 16–20 hours per week. This role would expect to spend 25–50% of their time providing direct care to a small patient panel and 50–75% leading with administrative excellence.

Position Highlights:

  • Schedule: 16–20 hours per week, flexible within Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5:30 p.m. PST (ideal schedule: Mon/Wed/Fri, with flexibility).
  • Patient Population: Ages 18+ with moderate to high acuity and primarily diagnosis of anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, schizoaffective, co-occurring substance use disorder.
  • Caseload: 6-10 patients per day, with 2 intakes daily
  • Appointments: 90 minutes for initial visits, 30 minutes for follow-ups.
  • Work-Life Balance: No on-call duties required!

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a 4-year ACGME Residency Program in Psychiatry.
  • Active medical license in California required
  • Availability for 16-20 hours per week, with the ability to work during PST hours.
  • Experience with treating adults 18+ and managing moderate-to-high acuity cases.
  • Telehealth experience, with knowledge of MyAvatar as a plus.
  • Reside in the U.S. or a U.S. territory.
